Early life[edit]

Chitra completed her BSc(Psychology) at the Dr.MGR Janaki College of Arts and Science for Women and she did her MSc at Sit College, Chennai.

Career[edit]

Chitra began her modeling and anchoring career at Makkal TV while she was completing her MSc between 2012 and 2014. Chitra continued to host several reality TV shows on Makkal TV, Shopping Zone Channel and several others channels. She also did banner advertisements for Jeyachandran Textiles, Chennai Silks and others. Chitra now acts in Chinna Papa Periya Papa (in a leading role in Season 4) and she acted in Saravanan Meenatchi (in a supporting role in Season 2). She also appeared in many video adverts for oil companies and Kaveri Hospital and is known for the shows she anchors in Makkal TV including Nodiku Nodi Athiradi, Ooru Suthalam Vanga, En Samayal Araiyil and Vilayadu Vaagai Soodu. Apart from her media profession, she's also a good Psychologist and an official anchor for many websites.^{[citation needed]}
